Danielle Cave

Danielle Cave is a Research Associate in the Myer Foundation Melanesia Program at the Lowy Institute for International Policy. Danielle conducts research focused on the Pacific Island region, as well as on aid and development issues.

Prior to joining the Lowy Institute at the beginning of 2009, Danielle worked for two years as Editorial Coordinator for the Sydney bureau of the Yomiuri Shimbun, Japan's largest daily newspaper. In this role Danielle developed feature articles and covered breaking news in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Island region. She has a Masters degree in International Security from Sydney University and a Bachelor degree in Business from the University of Technology, Sydney.

From January 2011 to August 2012, Danielle undertook a secondment to AusAID, working in the research, communications and Asia strategy branches. Danielle has since returned to the Lowy Institute full-time.
